As Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and documenting Embedded Software. Roles and Responsibilities

In the Aviation Systems Power Software team, we develop and test critical software for Aerospace products; due to the high criticality of our software, our engineers have a high responsibility in the development of Power Distribution Products.

• Execute, with some guidance, the analysis, design, test and/or integration required to define and support the assigned components, assemblies and/or process systems that meet business standards and practices, and procedures, and meet the product/program requirements.
• Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
• Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components.
• Provide timely communication regarding significant issues or developments.
• Solve problems of limited scope and complexity.
• Utilize Lean tools to improve current business products and processes.
• Self-check of work.
• Apply solid engineering skills to the solution of assigned projects and demonstrate understanding of technical challenges in the function in question.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Science/Engineering
• Programming experience (C, Python, ASM, C++)
• Embedded Software knowledge in pointers, data structures, memory usage, interrupt routines, microcontrollers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Maintain technical conversations in English, either verbally or written.
